Chapters 14-19, which tell about the beginning of Amir's excursion into Palestine and Afghanistan, reveal to the reader many insights into Amir's character. He is forced to reflect on his past as he is confronted with people and places that have changed since he has been gone. How is the adult character of Amir different or similar to the child character of Amir in his thinking and his actions? Give at least 2 examples to show how he has changed since his childhood or how he is the same.
