Assignment 6: Kite Runner Chapters 10 & 11

At the beginning of chapter 11, Amir says that “Baba liked the idea of America.” What does he mean by that? How is the idea of America different from the reality of America for Baba? Use at least one example from the text to support your answer. As an international student in the U.S., is your idea of America similar to or different from the reality of living in America? Try to give a specific example of how reality differs from (or is the same as) your expectations.
