I agree with Amir's words that both he and Assef got what they deserved. As for Amir, he treated Hasson bad before so he saved Hasson's only son as a way to make up. Amir was laughing even when he was beated by Assef because he thought saving Sohrad deserved for him to be hurted and it could made him felt less guilty. As for Assef, he wanted to revenge to Amir and this time he could do what he wanted. He kicked, punched, scratched Amir and made him badly hurt. At last, he lost one eye by Sohrad's slingshot. This was what he should paid for the bad action he had done. Both of them got punishment of what they've done before.
