literary analysis of the kite runner

The kite runner is a book written by Khaled Hosseini and set in kabul, afghanistan. At the beginning of the book, it is mainly telling about the sad story of the main character, Amir, and how he betrayed his best friend, hassan, when he was still a child. Later in the story it is telling on how the main character is haunted by this betrayal even after many years and how he is looking for a way to "be good again" or attone for his sin. The book is also showing the comparison of modern day afghanistan which is plagued by wars and the old afghanistan during the main characters childhood years which was a peaceful and had prospered.

When i first started to read this book, i thouhg it was going to be boring but once i passed the first few chapters, i became "hooked" to the book. This is because the book has a lot of twists, which make it intresting and the themes, such as friendship, that are disscused in it are very important to our lives. This is the reason why i would definately recommend this book to others.
