Literary Analysis of the Kite Runner

Kite runner is a cliff-hanging story, it’s all start with a phone call which is from Afghan, it remind Amir’s memory when he was a little kid in Afghan, and his dear friend Hassan. At that time (1978), Amir is a son of a really rich family, and Hassan is his loyal servant, they always hang out together, they enter a competition which is a kite tournament. Some big events happened in this tournament include Hassan was pederasty by some bad boys and Amir discerned all the procedure but because the inner scare and recurrence, he didn’t take any action to stop this and just let it happens to Hassan. After the kite competition, the relationship between Amir and Hassan changed, the fetal belong to them are also change. Ali took Hassan leave the home of Amir, since then, there is no any information about them, and the war is erupted, Amir and his father also have to go to The USA to start their new lives.
I actually like this novel a lot because besides the vivid description of what happened in Amir’s childhood and the fantastic rhythm control which is the most critical point to finish a successful novel, I really like Amir’s father who is real tough guy and never give up for himself and his family’s dream and hopes. Reading the novel is like encourage myself to be a real man just like his father, no matter what happened to me, everything will be fine if I try all what I can do to rescue myself and the people I loved.
